Carl H. Thomas, Jr.
Chairman of the Board In 1981, former Dallas County Texas Sheriff Carl Thomas and his wife, Susan founded Thomas Protective Service, Inc. After borrowing $250 from his father-in-law, Carl took his first state company licensing exam in Austin, Texas. On the drive home, he stopped by a construction site and sold his first account. A former Sheriff of Dallas County, Texas, Mr. Thomas has over fifty years of security and law enforcement experience backed by a degree in criminal justice from Abilene Christian University and a twelve-year career in the United States Marine Corps. As one of the founders, Mr. Thomas takes a hands-on approach to building a solid reputation for Thomas Protective Service, Inc. His guidance over the years has taken the company from a locally successful security service contractor to one of the top security firms in the United States. Mr. Thomas has a keen marketing savvy and ability to find security solutions that exceed customer expectations. His foresight has been instrumental in building one of the most progressive security contractors in the nation.
Wendy S. Thomas
President / Chief Executive Officer Ms. Thomas commenced employment with Thomas Protective Service, Inc. in 1986 as an accounting clerk at the sweet age of sixteen. Today, she is responsible for the overall performance of Thomas Protective Service, Inc. throughout the United States. Ms. Thomas graduated from the University of Texas with degrees in Elementary Education and History. She has served on numerous Boards throughout her years and is a strong advocate for Children's Services, Law Enforcement, and the Blue Campaign (Combating Human Trafficking). An excellent communicator with a flair for marketing and natural leadership, she demonstrates core principles of integrity, service excellence and customer focus in business. She has been an active member with the Building and Office Management Association, American Society for Industrial Security and American College for Homeland Security. She is the Corporate Security License Holder in most states Thomas Protective Service, Inc. conducts business operations. Ms. Thomas is a co-founder of Jefferson Street Boxing Club, a club that provides a safe alternative to kids "running the streets". The Club philosophy is centered around "Books before Hooks" through academic tutoring. Kids at Jefferson Street Boxing Club are continually reminded that their greatest fight in life will be a spiritual one, not a physical one. In addition, the club serves as a place for physical therapy and as a place of activity for people overcoming physical, mental, or spiritual trauma.
John Womack
Executive Director / Business Development Mr. Garcia came to Thomas Protective Service, Inc. with 10+ years of business leadership. His experience ranges from Fortune 50 enterprise to medium-sized manufacturing facilities. He is constantly improving Thomas Protective Service, Inc. internal culture, efficiency, technology, branding, sales, and strategic efforts. Mr. Garcia is responsible for soliciting, accepting, reviewing, developing, and submitting service proposals to prospective customers; as well as coordinating site visits for assessment, attending bid conferences, and facilitating sales presentations. He also oversees and facilitates the new customer transition process. Mr. Garcia has applied his numerous years of private security experience to constantly redefine the processes and procedures that separate our service delivery from our competition. During his tenure, his ability to manage company and customer business needs from officer execution to strategic planning and program development has enabled continuous focus on our valued Thomas Protective Service, Inc. customers while scaling for rapid national growth.
Shari Welch
Corporate Office Manager Ms. Welch has twenty years of human resource and office management experience, with all those years at Thomas Protective Service, Inc. As a professional in the security industry, she has managed the HR process for security officers across the country, creating policies and programs that have helped to increase productivity and employee morale. She has a strong background in employment and employee relations. Ms. Welch is responsible for coordinating all aspect of our recruiting, employee relations, benefits and ensuring overall good morale.
Jake Hildebrandt
Corporate Fleet & Technology Manager Mr. Hildebrandt came to Thomas Protective Service, Inc. with 10+ years of business leadership as well as automotive and technology startup success. He is responsible for our company fleet of marked patrol vehicles and installation of security tracking system technology at our customer locations. Mr. Hildebrandt takes the headache out of technology-assisted security solutions by integrating traditional security strategies with cutting-edge and comprehensive digital surveillance systems. In addition, Mr. Hildebrandt manages a fleet of commercial vehicles ranging from ex-police cruisers, to 4x4 pickup trucks, fuel efficient vehicles, 15 passenger vans, and even golf carts.
